80th Anniversary of Lift Service at Stowe


On Tuesday, February 7th, Stowe Mountain Resort will be celebrating their 80th Anniversary of Lift Service. It all started with a rope-tow at the Toll House Area on February 7th, 1937. Since then, Stowe has become a world-famous ski resort. Day lift tickets will be $55 at the ticket window and are also available to purchase on-line.

Ladies SnowVenture at Killington


February 3-5, Killington Mountain will be holding their Ladies Snowventure. This is an all-mountain instructional weekend designed to empower and inspire women snowboarders to take their riding to the next level in the park and in the trees. The sessions are taught by professional women athletes. You’ll learn new skills and meet some fellow riders just like you. Includes: 2 days of on-snow coaching, yoga and stretch session, lunch, wrap-up party, and more. Only $249!

Big Sky Dummy Jump

On Saturday, February 4, Big Sky Resort is having their Dummy Jump. What is it? It’s simple. Just build a dummy, launch a dummy, crash a dummy, and have some fun. Should be a blast if you are competing or just watching. First place gets a $500 in prizes and other prizes will be up for grabs.

25 feet of snow and a 10 foot base at Alta


With the latest storm, Alta now has over 25 feet of snow so far this season and a 10 foot base. It’s fair to say that the 2016/2017 has been a good one in Salt Lake City. Check out some of pictures Alta has posted for us to enjoy including some from their 80+ inch storm.

Moms Day Off at Bromley


Bromley is holding a fundraiser on Friday, February 3. The 14th Annual Mom's Day Off Event benefits the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center. For a $20 donation, if you show a picture of your kids, you’ll be able to ski all day long. 100% of the proceeds go to the cancer center. Great cause – Great Deal! Make it if you can.

Mt Bachelor hosts Vertifest

If you love winter and the backcountry, check out Vertfest at Mt Bachelor this weekend (Feb. 4-5). This is an event to celebrate winter and backcountry culture. The event runs throughout the weekend and will have numerous races, clinics, demos, food and drink. Be sure to sign up as soon as possible if you are interested in participating in the events.

Vail Resorts rumored to be interested in Stowe


Rumors have been circulating in Vermont that Vail Resorts is interested in purchasing Stowe Mountain. If it were to happen, it would be Vail Resorts first resort in the East Coast. It would also expand the mountains on the popular Epic Pass. We take a look at what is going on with Vail Resorts numerous purchases in recent years that includes Park City, Whistler, and Perisher in Australia.
