Vermont

With the Green Mountains, Vermont is a popular state for skiers and boarders. Located in the New England area of the United States, Vermont is home to some excellent resorts and a wide range of terrain at resorts such as Killington, Stratton Mountain, Mount Snow, Stowe Mountain, Sugarbush, Jay Peak, Smugglers’ Notch, and Mad River Glen. Vermont also has some of the toughest runs in the eastern United States including Paradise (Mad River Glen), Goat (Stowe), Rumble (Sugarbush), Devil’s Fiddle (Killington), Staircase Glade (Jay Peak) and the only triple-black diamond trail in the eastern United States, Black Hole (Smugglers’ Notch).

  • Stratton Mountain is one of the largest ski mountains in southern Vermont in the United States. It is the highest peak in the area with a 2,003 vertical drop and 97 trails and more than 160 acres of glades. It has highly rated terrain parks, fabulous grooming, and a varied terrain. Stratton Mountain also has a good lift system including a gondola and numerous 6-passenger lifts. There is also expansive snowmaking covering 93% of the trails.

  • Stowe Mountain Resort, located in Vermont, can be classified as a luxury resort. It is consistently one of the highest rated mountains in the eastern United States.   • Okemo Ski Resort, located in southern Vermont, is rated as one of the best family resorts in the eastern United States and for also having some of the best terrain parks. Okemo Ski Resort offers the highest vertical drop in southern Vermont at 2,200 feet and a good variety of terrain across 121 trails and glades. If you like your buns toasted, try their six-seat chair lift with heated seats and an orange bubble cover to block the sun and wind.
