Located approximately 27 miles from the city of Anchorage, Alyeska Ski Resort is the largest ski mountain in that state of Alaska in the United States. It is in the heart of Girdwood, a glacier carved valley. Chugach State Park and the Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet provide some amazing backdrops for the guests making Alyeska Ski Resort a popular family ski destination in Alaska for visitors and locals alike. The Day Lodge side is perfect for those who like to take things easy and the North Face of the mountain is where to go for steeps. Alyeska Ski Resort boasts an amazing 650 inches of annual snowfall at the summit.

Alyeska Ski Resort has a high-end hotel located directly on the mountain providing guests with ski in/ski out access to the trails. The mountain can be expensive, but Alyeska Ski Resort has some of the best scenery with an expansive mountain and ocean inlet views at your fingertips. The aerial tramway is a seven-minute ride that will give you breathtaking views of the mountains, hanging glaciers, sparkling streams, towering spruce, and an array of wildlife making this a worthwhile place to go and another mountain to add to your bucket list.
