On the downside, some of the lifts are getting older and slow by comparison to more modern equipment. But, the mountain has been investing in snowmaking and is rarely overcrowded. Be sure to check out their mid-week specials. The resort is located close to the town of North Conway (ranked by National Geographic as one of the top ski towns in the world) with great restaurants and shopping.

Expert skiers or skiers and boarders looking for more of a challenge, may prefer Attitash Mountain’s sister property, Wildcat Mountain, which is located just 20 minutes to the north, which provides more challenging terrain. Both Attitash Mountain and Wildcat Mountain offer interchangeable lift tickets and season passes, with a combined total of 535 skiable acres. This means you can hit one mountain in the morning, have lunch in nearby North Conway, and then take on Wildcat Mountain in the afternoon.

There is ski in/out lodging and the Attitash Mountain Grand Summit Hotel is the only luxury lodging option in the whole Mt. Washington Valley. The resort boasts a wonderful après scene. If you want something a little different, check the open-year-round Nor’Easter Mountain coaster.

Attitash Mountain Tips:

  • Park at Bear Peak on busy days and start here. This will save you a potential long walk at the main base.
  • Check out the nearby village of North Conway. This is a nice small New England village with great restaurants and shops.
