Lake Louise Ski Resort is located in the Banff National Park and features views of Lake Louise, one of Canada’s most famous landmarks. The scenery at Lake Louise is jaw-dropping and magnificent. Lake Louise Ski Resort is one of the largest ski areas in North America with 4,200 acres of skiable terrain and 145 trails that range from alpine bowls, to tree skiing and long fast groomers. Along with a great lift system, Lake Louise Ski Resort offers a wide variety of terrain for all levels with excellent trails in a low crowd setting. The mountain has a pretty equal number of trails between beginner, intermediate, and expert runs and you can find each of these type of trails off every lift. This allows families and friends of all levels to be able to ski or board together.

Lake Louise Ski Resort has a top elevation of 8,650 feet and a 3250 foot vertical drop helping to create some very long trails. The longest trail is five miles (eight kilometers) long. There is a large amount of soft snow and the back bowls are amazing. Lake Louise Ski Resort is a big mountain and it can get icy at times. Make sure you dress in layers and take a comfy ride in the gondola to give yourself a break for the cold. With its size and beautiful scenery, you will never get tired of skiing or riding at Lake Louise Ski Resort.

  • Go to the backside if you are looking for something less busy and lots of powder. The terrain is more difficult. But if you can handle it, the back bowls at Lake Louise Ski Resort are amazing.
