Ski Cooper is a small mountain located about 2 hours to the west of Denver in Colorado. This resort is just slightly off the beaten track, easily accessible from I-70 or Highway 285 or 80. It has 39 trails and 400 acres of skiable terrain with a top elevation of 11,700 feet and a 1,200 foot vertical drop. Their motto is “Unique. Fun. Affordable.” Ski Cooper is perfect for a family on a budget. It is family friendly, has a relaxed atmosphere, and has affordable prices for lift tickets as well as rentals. Mid-week prices are unbeatable. You’ll pay half the amount of money as many of the other mountains in the area. You can also enjoy snowcat tours. Regardless of being inexpensive, Ski Cooper still has a good terrain. You’ll find unmatched in-bounds terrain from gentle cruisers to glades to moguls. But, this mountain is best for the novice skier. With no lines, wide open runs, a low-key atmosphere, and a friendly staff, Ski Cooper is definitely a hidden gem that offers a great experience at an unbeatable price for many people.
