Solitude Ski Resort is located in the Salt Lake City area of the United States. By the standards of other resorts in in the Salt Lake City area, Solitude Ski Resort is considered a small mountain. But, it still has 77 trails over 1,200 acres of skiable terrain and a 2,030 foot vertical drop. All this is topped off with 500 inches of snow annually giving skiers and boarders plenty of natural snow to play on. Solitude Ski Resort has wide open groomers, bowls, steeps, trees, bumps, and chutes. This gives Solitude Ski Resort a nice variety of terrain for intermediates and experts along with the reliable snow of the area.

Solitude Ski Resort is small and some would say that it lacks a nightlife and thus would not be good for a week-long vacation. But, it does have numerous amenities including a spa, restaurant, bar, etc. Even though the mountain is only 45 minutes from Salt Lake City, due to its size Solitude Ski Resort tends to be less crowded then the other resorts in the area. Thus, you get the “solitude”. This makes Solitude Ski Resort very popular with locals that are looking to get away from the crowds. If you are looking for a relaxed and slower pace without the crowds and a good variety of terrain, you should definitely give Solitude Ski Resort a try. It’s also significantly cheaper than the larger mountains in the area. Various magazines rate Solitude Ski Resort high for snow and for value.
