One of the nicest mountains in Southern Vermont with a quaint village with shops and restaurants located at the mountain, Stratton Mountain is great place for a weekend getaways with full amenities. There are plenty of options for ski-in, ski-out lodging and there are numerous dining options. All of these amenities make Stratton Mountain a popular mountain for people from NYC area and can make this place crowded during peak days. Also, it can be expensive. So, Stratton Mountain is not a good place for skiers/boarders on a budget.
Overall, Stratton Mountain is great for families with a lot of varied terrain that keeps young and old happy. There are not a lot of steep trails, but you’ll get nicely groomed trails, speedy lifts, and a large number of glades can keep expert skiers busy.
