The Remarkables Ski Area is located on the South Island of New Zealand approximately 45 minutes away from Queenstown within The Remarkables mountain range. The Remarkables Ski Area caters to all ability levels and is known for its laid-back relaxed atmosphere and incredible views of some of the most photographed peaks in New Zealand.
With 31 trails and 544 acres of terrain, The Remarkables Ski Area is not a large resort, but it provides excellent terrain for all. The ski field has three sheltered bowls. The Remarkables Ski Area gives beginners gentle slopes and fantastic learning facilities. Advanced skiers/boarders will discover big mountain steeps and some steep chutes and some excellent backcountry that can be accessed with a short hike. There are also three progressive terrain parks at The Remarkables Ski Area suitable for all abilities. Once at the top of the mountain, don't miss the awesome view.
The facilities at The Remarkables Ski Area has received some upgrades lately. In 2014, the six-seater Curvey Basin chairlift was installed and the learners' area was expanded. In 2015, The Remarkables Ski Area will be opening a new base building. They offers a highly regarded ski and snowboard school, rental center, a café, and expansive decks with some amazing views of Coronet Peak and the Wakatipu Basin. The Remarkables Ski Area has no accommodations on the slopes. You’ll need to venture out to Queenstown and surrounding area. Note that kids aged 6 years and under ride for free every day at The Remarkables Ski Area.

- Serpentine, Upper Gallery, and Lower Gallery - Intermediate runs excellent for its natural features and freestyle terrain.
- Homeward Runs – A good place to find long uncrowded runs.
